Before I yapped on, I just wanna explain basically what the movie was about. Imagine a super freak virus killing everybody you know and you are the sole survivor because you are immune to it. Wait.. some people died while some people tuned to crazy ass zombies. Not like “Resident Evil” walking slow-drunk kinda zombies… This is head banging, hyper, steroid-in-the-veins, kinda zombies. And one more thing, they are sensitive to sunlight.. and when I say “sensitive”, I mean they practically fry like eggs.

Oh well, the director focuses on how it is like being the last man on earth rather than just the monsters, which I think was a refreshing move. You see Will Smith eat alone with his dog, exercise, play golf, hunt for food, talk to mannequins, kiss lampposts.. you get idea.. all alone. He was so desperate for human interaction that at one scene he “coaxed” a mannequin to say “Hello”.

But I don’t blame him. I think if I was in his shoes, it will be worse. Being a people person that I am, I need my constant coffee break, talk cock sessions with my friends. If I don’t have that, I will start to talk to myself. And since everybody is dead and nobody is around, wearing clothes is not my top priority so I will be walking around naked. Will Smith have this science lab where he spends trying to find a cure… I know nothing about chemistry except trying to test for hydrogen (listen for the “pop” sound people) so that means I will be spending a lot of time playing video games and setting up massive zombie traps and kill those bastards as much as I possibly can.

And it was odd how Will Smith got rude with the woman and kid who saved his life… If it’s me, the first thing I would do is give the woman a hug and then talk about how and when we are going to repopulate the world. And when edible meat grows scarce, we can just kill the little boy cause I heard that children are tasty.
