It has been such a long while since I last watched a movie. I told myself not to go out until I finish my work… it was like a self imposed house arrest. Suddenly I felt like I'm Benazir Bhutto. Anywho, last week, I decided that enough is enough and went to buy a ticket. I wanted to watch Beowulf or Saw 4 but both movies have been "chopped" by my friends.. We wanna watch it together you see. So I opt for the Bee movie.

3D animation movies are usually great movies.. they rarely suck… even if the story turns out to be a dud, you will be amaze by the 3D animation skills that will normally will leave you shocked and awed. And The Bee Movie is no different. The story’s great and the animation is awesome. But one thing why you gotta watch it in the theatres is because since the whole story is about a bee and since bees fly, there a lot of rollercoaster-camera-angle movement going on… Watch the scene where 2 bees are driving a car (yes they drove cars) and the camera angle swoop down a steep slope. It will bring butterflies in your tummy.. I felt it.

Another thing I like about this movie is that there’s a lot of Seinfeld type of jokes in it.. Seinfeld is one of the 3 writers so I guess you would expect that. And there was many types of bees but the best are the Pollen jocks.. they behave alot like military pilots.

After the movie, I did wished I was a bee. At least a 3D animation bee in the movie… You have total order. Jobs are waiting for you. Everybody got a home with a swimming pool. You can sting people you don’t like. And if you are sick of walking.. you can fly! Yeah. Okay.. I better get a grip.

To conclude.. I say go watch it! It is better than the Shrek movies, waaaay better than Happy Feet but still cannot beat Bugs Life and Finding Nemo lah.
