When I saw the trailer for 300, I was psyke to see it. I know its gonna be good. The sepia tone color, the light blueish hue at night, the crystal shine on the eyes; it’s as if somebody in Hollywood suggested something like: “Hey you guys, since we can make CGI monsters, why not make CGI clouds, rocks, sun as well. That way we can even control how it moves and what color it should be.” Brilliant!

I love the costume especially the silver mask worn by the Persian army. The color scheme was also great. Silver with black.. AWESOME! The Spartan army are all ribbed muscular men and they were a tough lot. I don’t know much about the historical facts based on this movie so I’m not even gonna debate on its inaccuracies. Man, I’m ready to give this movie a 2 headed-thumbs up even before It’s shown on the screen. It’s just too damn good.

HOW BLOODY EVER….. There was this element in the movie that sickens me. Heck I was rather pissed and disappointed. It was as if the whole movie was directed by George Bush himself. “Fight for justice. Fight for freedom!” Once they have a chance to say this, they did. But that did not piss me off, heck I LOVE freedom. Freedom to dig my nose is a luxury I will never take for granted. Some countries will impale me if I did that in public. Oh well, the one that hits the nail on the head is when the Spartans have this cry VERY SIMILAR “war cry” to US soldiers. US soldiers likes to say “Hoo Yah!” Spartans say “Yah Hoo” or something close like that. What are they trying to incite here? Are they trying to lure more people to sign up in the military? “Come join the war in Iraq! Come be a Spartan!” Riiight!

Maybe it’s trying to prepare us with yet another war… now with Iran? Maybe I’m being paranoid… but I’m not the only one. Google “movie 300 propaganda” and you’ll see a list.
