i just wanted to drop by to say that i simply love your articles. I really admire the way you think and analyse things. :)
Thanks for the article on miserable worker, it really gave me an eye-opener especially
about your work experience in America. I didn't know it is like that. It would be wonderful if we could experience the same thing here. :) I guess in many ways, our system is rigid. :)
I totally agree on all your points. It is really worth considering and implementing. One more point to add, lets not even look at the birth rate first.. look at the rate of singles! When one is too engrossed and occupied in work, how to find time to go dating! :p
EB replies:
Thank you for them compliments. Yes, I do believe that a negative workforce can result in a declining birth rate... something that this current administration CANNOT seem to fix.
The policy makers have to understand that
the Singaporeans of today are different from the Singaporeans of the 60s. Air tickets are getting cheaper and the internet is accessible to ANYONE with a library card. Singaporeans are now expose to alternate methods of governance. And most of the time these altenatives are much better than the system that have been set in place to run our lives now.

EB replies:
Although this comment is meant for the article "Design Hell", I just received it yesterday and I would like to hilight yet another example of how employees are being exploited. 9am to 4am is totally unacceptable and I just cannot comprehendon how this cantake place in
Singapore. I said it once and I will say it again:- Our labour system is a broken one and we need to fix it fast!
